Glen is not only a great artist he’s also a truly nice guy. Normal ship in bottle (SIB) builds consist of a ship and a bottle and most are beautifully done but they become somewhat boring in the repetition of same ole, same ole. By contrast, each of Glen’s SIBs has a unique setting/presentation that sets his work apart from other SIB builds generating a greater level of visual interest and reward.
I’ve been fortunate to be able to follow Glen’s work on MSW. Being able to watch each build come to life are treasured memories I’ll carry till journey’s end.
Thank you, Keith. You have been a n inspiration to me and also a big help with solving problems on a number of my projects. I am very thankful for your support!

Glen’s style, creativity and openness towards showing his errors and do’s and don’ts in the SIB area are as spectacular as they are rare.
His clear and detailed build logs were the push I needed to actually try SIB modelling.
Although I have built only few SIB’s and of a very different era, Glen’s encouragement and own creativity pushed me to move boundaries and build things I’ve considered impossible in the past.
Looking at Glen moving his own boundaries is always a spectacular sight and makes us wonder where this will end!
Thank you for everything Glen, looking forward for more!
Thank you for the kind words, Roel. Your work is very inspirational. The subjects you choose for your projects are so unusual (to me anyway!). I don’t see anyone else anywhere making models of the types of ships that you construct. You are part of the reason that I continue to look for unique ships with unique stories to build.
